DIck Moody Competition

Dick Moody Competition Saturday August 8th 2026

We host this Competition in honour of a former Member of our Club who passed well

before his time. Dick was responsible for carrying out a lot of improvements to the facilities at the

Club in the 1980’s and 90’s and Captained our CDL team for many years.

A representative Castle Camps Team made up primarily of Officers and Committee Members of our Club challenge representative teams from the 3 leagues that we play in to win the trophy.

All 3 formats of the game are played over a total of 24 ends and the players are served a meal at the end of the afternoon.

There will be two rinks for either mixed or one ladies and one men's rink.

Players should consist of as many officers of the league as possible (Any other selected player can substitute officers if unavoidable).

Play will consist of three games of eight ends, Four Players per team. Two woods. The scores of the 2 rinks will be added together to find out which league is the winner.

We play the first game to E.B.A rules.
The second to Federation County rules and

the third to Cambridge & District rules (roving jack).
